We would like to inform you that Kiara Family Practice will be transitioning to a mixed billing practice from 1ST October 2022.
We are now a mixed billing practice during the weekdays, but fully private on weekends and public holidays.
Unfortunately, this step becomes necessary to keep up with providing highest level of patient care in the face of rising operational, staff as well as maintenance costs and expenses.
Out of pocket fee will now apply to our consults, except for the following patient categories who will still continue to be bulk billed:
- Children under 16 years of age
- Over 65 with Pension and Concession Card Holders
- Care plans & Health Assessments.
Effective 1st October 2022, all our patients who do not fall into the exemption group above are required to pay for their consultations in full on the day of their appointment, while Medicare rebates will be automatically processed and expected to be refunded to your account within 24 hours.
